Power for rear pasangers make-up mirrors
Hello everyone,
I've searched this forum, but I can't find any relevant answer for my problem. My car is 97 S500 (10/96). The flip down make-up mirrors for rear passengers don't light up, when in 'down' position. I've changed all four bulbs (two per mirror), I've checked the small switch (multimeter), but still no light. There appears to be ground on one of the wires, that come in to the enclosure, but no 12V.. How do these mirrors get power? Do I need to turn the outside lights on? Which fuse should I check? My star DVD doesn't show a good picture of the wire routing and I don't want to mess with the roof liner... Thank you in advance. M#. |

Dumb question, but I have to ask it. Did you test with the ignition switch on? I believe these mirrors only light up when the ignition is on.

I feel like an idiot,
When I took shower this morning I taught about the key in the ignition. I went to the car and sure enough both the mirrors light up. Thank you. BTW bobs: How do you keep such a low millage on your cars? |
