reattach front seatback
While my son had my '84 300SD at university, somehow the driver's side seatback came off. I can't figure out where the two screws on the bottom of the seatback screw into?

As best I remember, the screws screw straight up into the seat back frame. I do remember that they can be a real PITA to get started. A good light and possibly a mirror will help.

Use a stubby phillips head. You may have to push them up pretty hard to get them to "seat". Use a 8d nail to line up the srew holes. Ask him what he/ who was looking for. Good luck.
