A/C Relay Location -HELP ITS HOT IN HOUSTON
I am needing the location of A/C relay for 1981 500SEL Euro. Short history of problem. A/C compressor stopped working, blower works, however getting no power to compressor, thus I am assuming its maybe a relay issue ?

Relay type question
In my "J" position is just an ice cube relay (0015420219), although my A/C has been working fine with that relay, should I replace it with the relay speced (0015425819). I should mention that my idle has suffered when I do have A/C on with the ice cube relay

The compressor not running is a fairly common thing when the freon pressure is real low (like almost empty). On most cars, it's a safety feature to keep the compressor from burning itself out. It can be tested by jumping out the low pressure switch for a second). If the compressor comes on, then you know it's low. (unfortunately, I don't know where your low pressure switch is located).
