Exchanging steering-gear in 190D

I'm about to switch the original steering-gear in my '84 190D (301.000km) with one from a '91-model. It was fairly uncomplicated to remove it from the '91-model considering that it didn't have an engine, nor the front wings

However; Does anyone have any input on how this procedure should be done? Our local garage calculated with three hours of labour for such a job, and so did the MB-garage. My father is helping me (read: doing the job ) out, but I reckon we need more than just three hours doing it.

Any input is highly appreciated!

My only advice is to center the replacement unit by removing the 12MM bolt on the bottom side and inserting a pointed bolt to lock it in place then center and lock the steering wheel. All else is just hard work.
