300TE dies suddenly
Our '90 300TE 4matic with 93000 mi has died twice recently while driving on the highway at speed. Both times we pulled over and the car started up and off we drove. There is no sputtering it just quits suddenly. What are the most likely causes of this?

My experience with this issue on this vintage W124: fuel pump relay.
If it continues to worsen you can remove the relay and jumper the pins (don't have schematic in front of me right now) to confirm HTH Brian |

Fuel pump relay is a prime suspect, but there are more. Any check engine lite, was the wiring harness replaced and check for stored codes?
