Axle assembly 300te 4matic question
 

My driver side front axle assembly needs replacing. The new part specific to 4matic is tooooo much money, my choices are a remanufactured unit (non local source) at half of the price of a used unit (available locally). What would you do? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I put reman axles in my wagon a few years ago and they held up well, that is until it got smashed up last month. I think that would be the way to go. I'd offer to sell you one from my now parts car but my replacement wagon's axles look a bit suspect so I'm keeping them for my own car.
