A Bit Of A Laugh And A Disaster

So I went to change the oil in my 99 C23K and I sucked out the transmission fluid by mistake

How much should I expect to pay to have a transmission service at an indie.

That's as bad as putting brake fluid in the power steering pump.....caught myself just before I poured it in. Yes, I looked around to see if anyone was watching.
WHEW!

Since you sucked out the trans fluid, you won't be able to go anywhere. Put in the same amount you removed.

I might have had a bit of reminant used oil in the collector and that is what is scaring me.

It drove fine this morning but I am still apprehensive.

One indie said $180 to service the trans. Another indie said $500 but not reccomended due to introducing new detergents in the system.

I am thouroghly confused.

What do I do at this point?

I'd pour the same amount of fluid back in that came out, drive to the indy mechanic, and have him correct anything that needs correcting on the transmission.
