Windshield wiperarm removal.
The blower motor is noisy on my 1993 300E (2.8) and I want to lubricate it ,which requires the removal of the wiperarm and the wiper assembly. I did exactly the same on my '86 300E however on that model there is a screw under the flap on the wiperarm that secures the arm. On the 1993 the wiperarm is the newer type without the flap. Can anyone tell me the correct procedure to remove it? I did check my MB paperback manual but it only mentions the older type wiperarm.
Thanks for your help, Alex |

On mine, instead of a flap, there is a whole panel which hinges up and comes off, revealing the Allen screw which you are looking for. Just lift up on the lower edge of this panel. I would assume that one 1993 W124 is like another . . .

Did that make any sense? It's easy to do, hard to describe, but let me know if that's helpful or not.

Thanks Steve, it worked the way you discribed it. I just did not want to force or break anything.
