ac clutch not engaging...
I checked the pressure and it is good. Should I try to jump with power at the compressor?
The compressor and drier are only 3 years old when I switched to 134a. It seems like no matter what setting I have on the ACC unit it will blow hot air out the defrosters.

what are your pressures....
did you have a/c a few weeks ago? if you have a slow leak, you can have decent a/c one day..and then a few days later , you will not have enough to allow the compressor to kick on.

It hasn't worked in quite a while. I just jumped back on it today because I got my rattle figured out (alternator) and it has been hot as hell.
I checked it with one of the store bought gauges. The pressure is fine on the low side but the clutch will not engage.

Hot + Defrost is the failsafe setting. REPLACE the fuse that controls the monovalve. If that does not help, youmight need anew CCU

Just went out and checked. The monovlave was unplugged. Don't remember why I did this. Maybe because I was tired of playing and wanted heat.
Still no go on the AC. Plugged the monovalve back in and checked the fuse. Curious when I dialed "min" on the wheel and selected full on the buttons, no air was blowing out of the mid dash. Only from the defrost. When I pushed the next button over (full arrow bottom) air blew out of the mid dash. I thought full was supposed to blow air top and bottom? What next, try to jump the comprssor to see if it will kick on?

ac clutch
Check to be sure you have 12v at the clutch. If you do, the clutch should engage. If not, apply 12v to the clutch. If it engages, then you have a problem with the A/C control module or a blown fuse.
