Locking driver's dooe with master key
 

Good afternoon,

The master key to my 90 Benz 300 SL will not lock the driver's door but will the passenger side. The infrared seems to work on both. Would appreciate any ideas.

sounds like someone replaced the lock and didnt get it rekeyd

Does the lock cylinder turn but not lock? That is fairly common beacuse of a roll pin coming out of the transfer rod and the motion doesn't get transferred to the latch. The fix there is to use a small cotter pin in place of the missing roll pin. :cool:
