94 w124 ac question (cloudy air)
I just recharged my r134a system with two 12oz cans. THe air blows super cold but the air is a bit cloudy like there is either dust or possibly refrigerant in the air coming from the vents. Could it be a leak in the accumulator is leaking refrigerant into the cabin. The air doesn't have much smell to it at all and there is no irritation breathing it (short term obviously I am not hanging out in there to find out if it is going to hurt me) Any ideas or experience on this would be great.
Thanks Gary |
If you have enough refrigerant escaping from the evaporator to form clouds, your system won't be cooling for long.
The problem can't be an accumulator, since our cars use a receiver instead. |

Could it be condensing moisture from the cabin air when it mixes with it? You did say it was "super" cold. I don't know that I have ever seen this but we don't have that much humidity here and mine isn't super cold.

For humid weather, the best button to use on the controller is hollow arrow up / solid arrow down.
