Trans spring kit question.

My 94 e320 has a slow shift/lag into 3 and 4. I adjusted the modulator 1/2 turn (that's all mine will go) and it did not fix it. I was tolf that the spring kit is the next thing to try and wanted to see if anyone had experience with this and what kind of labor is requirred. Is this a trans pull job or in chasis?

Thanks

Gary

I am assuming you are referring to the K1 spring kit, named for the K1 valve that gets the retrofit.

This is supposed to cure the 2-3 flare, so I doubt that it will do anything for your situation.

Nevertheless, the valve body is accessible from inside the tranny case once the pan is removed. The tranny remains in the car, and the procedure can be done in about an hour, depending on how much time is spent removing the pan, draining the fluid, and accessing the screws that allow you to remove the K1 valve.

What about a K2 kit. I have been told that is the one I need to do.
