fuel injector bleed
hi
i just changed my fuel injectors on my 1987 560 sel today and was wondering if the injectors / fuel lines will need bleeding, if so if it a weekend warrior type job or have the local benz guy do it. Thanks in advance |

It's not a big deal. If you deflect the sensor plate while the fuel pump is running it will put fuel to the injectors. Stop deflecting when you can hear them whine.

Just push it down, the farther you push the more fuel that gets metered. If you just hold it down until the engine starts to fire you'll ne bled. Sometimes new injectors are "sticky" and are hesitant to crack open for the first time. Revving it and deflecting the plate momentarily can get them to "crack"

It's the round thing that the air filter sieals over. The round part that has the bolt in the center of it is the plate. That is what you push down.
