Rear Wheel Bearings 87 300e
I have access to an hydrolic press, can anyone tell me if it`s possible to change the rear wheel bearings on a 87 300e without the so called special tool (bearing puller) that Mercedes tells me you must have to do the job. Is it possible without this tool. Thanks

Please, someone must have tried this without the special bearing pluller, i just do`nt want to get into trouble after dismantling the hub and then finding out that i can`nt do it with just a press. i`ve tried doing a search but no joy on my specfic question. Thanks again in advance.

Search again! This has been discussed. If I recall correctly, some people insist you need it, while others insist you do not.
