380SL temp sensor
while troubleshooting an intermittant a/c system I found the heat sensor that fits into dash air inlet unplugged and hanging. The circuit board had an unfinished edge on it, upon futher searching I found some more circuit board and what appears to be a temp sensor laying on top of the radio. I'm on the road and won't be able to get a replacement sensor til the end of the week. Question, until I get it can I bypass the broken sensor and get the a/c on line? The sensor itself looks very flimsly in design, is there another sensor, perhaps off a later model that will work and be more rugged?
