how to change fss
 

Hi Guys,
We did an oil change to my C230 Kompressor yesterday and was trying to follow the instruction from the manual on how to change the FSS after an oil change so that it goes back to 10000 miles. Unfortunately, it doesn't change. Can anybody help me?? Thanks

What year car? there are 3 different C230 models with "kompressor". starting in 1999 thru 2005

for 202 models, use the key off, press and hold, key on method.
for 203 models, press and hold on the serivce display screen.

use the search function for more in depth descriptions, they've been covered many times.

Try your FSS reset procedure with the driver's side door closed. I had a 98 ML320, and the door had to be closed for FSS resets or synchronizing key fobs after replacing battery.
