HEY ALL! JUST GOT A 88 300 E 100k AND RUNS LIKE A CLOCK...BUT...WHEN I STOP THE CAR AND RE START IT I GET A HESITATION LIKE IT IS EITHER STARVING FOR FUEL AND WHEN I PUMP THE GAS OR MASH IT IT BASICALLY CLEARS UP AND RUNS PERFECT..IS THIS A FUEL PUMP WAY OF SAYING ITS ON ITS WAY OUT OR IS IT A FUEL PUMP RELAY OR A OVP (OVER VOLTAGE PROTECTION RELAY) WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST?

Sounds like "rest" fuel pressure bleed-off.

Most likely a bad fuel accumulator, but connecting a fuel pressure guage would be the 1st step in diagnosis.

I thought that the fuel accumulator mad sure that fuel was always available and it put what wasnt used back into the tank,,,,
