I opted for the window decal first off. Get some rolling advertisement. As long as they aren't the great big, all the way across the windshield kind. Next up would be a T-shirt, to go with my well worn straight leg button fly's . Assorted colors of course, with black for the "check the oil" days .

I vote with Mike for the window decal and a black T shirt as the first items from the list. Then a nice binder and log book in which to store service records.

I know you didn't ask but it occures to me that since a majority of us are DIYers, maybe MercedesShop coveralls would be a good seller.

Really cool idea!!! I would wear them if I ever took the car to the dealership, with a "Don't BS me" baseball cap!:p

And While we are at it, how about Benzmac's Mercedesshop.com Essential DIY'er Toolkit, with all the specialty tools needed for your model that are non standard tools, and logo fender guards included in the kit with tool pockets.

Lee's Mercedesshop.com detailing kit with all the essentials and instructions on how to properly care for your benz and get the most beautiful appearance, with testimonials by JCE. hehe.

Bill's mercedesshop.com enhanced CDROM manuals with the entire forums archived on a bonus cdrom, along with all the DIY articles.

And for us tech geeks, how about the mercedesshop.com new post pager? D) ehehe only kidding on this one...

Sticker and tag frame here. Keep the sticker small and let's all agree on where to locate it on our vehicles where we can identify other members when we see 'em on the road. How bout a mercedesshop.com tag on the front to make it real easy to identify others on the road? T-shirt would be my next purchase as long as I can get it in white - you do not wear black T shirts in this part of the country in the summer!!

Window decal and tee shirt.......I also like the idea of the "tool kit" and especialy the fender guard. Also the log book/binder sounds good. This site is soooooooo great everyone should know about it.

I think its an awesome idea, everytime I see a Benz driving down the street, I wonder if its one of the guys from this website.

I would first go with the window sticker, and tell us wher to locate it so its easy for us to identify eachother on the road. Then T-Shirts and hats are always KEWL! Sign me up for the tool kit, I am sure it would make my life easier.

Just my .02, Great web site!

I hope you guys are going to post some pictures of the Merchandise when they become available. I want a lot of the items already mentioned but, I would like to preview first. You know, a picture is worth a thousand words....

I am with the decal but......maybe it is free with purchases over $xx from fastlane, etc. If no purchase than that is cool. Same thing with the tag frame. It is neat if plastic $10 is steep. Most shops give them to you as advertising or they are real cheap. We had them made up for our corvette club and the were like $2 a piece. If they are metal than scratch that last bit. I do not want to sound cheap but you asked.

...really like the idea of providing the sticker gratis and retroactive to Partsshop clients (its a tax deductible business expense for Mercedesshop/ Partshop for "advertising", "promotions" etc> and is quite inexpensive advertising at that!)...

the sticker can also be made available to members for the nominal fee...

the t, may also be a gratis- bonus with a cumulative order (retroactive also) of $250 from Partshop (similarly expensed on business tax returns under the same category)

from a business perspective, we would want the largest exposure for the smallest $ expended, and also desire to leverage current customers word of mouth/ backs (for t)/ heads (for cap), cars (for sticker/plate frames), etc....

I'd use these in this order: t-shirt, baseball cap and/or sticker, plate frame (hopefully the design will be conservatively tasteful)

tks-fad

Not to be cheap or anything, as the other merchandise is appealing as well. The decal would be affixed to a car that I drive daily, announcing my affiliation with MercedesShop. Other merchandise would see occasional wear...
