The car in question is my 1991 190E AMG 2.0 w/ 5 speed manual transmission which has the M102 engine similar to that of the 2.3 you find in the US. I've had the fuel filter, air filter, plugs, wires, dist cap/rotor replaced recently. I've put a good used intake assembly(the proper name escapes my mind at the moment, but its the assembly which the fuel distributor sits on top of) and am now running out of ideas on what to do next.
Here are the symptoms...
Once I start the car, it will idle at 500rpm's which I find to be low. I put it in gear and it gets going. Once I take my foot off the gas pedal, it will stall. If I restart the car and drive... it drives fine until I get to a red light and take my foot off the gas pedal which then it would stall once again. I restart several more times the same way and eventually the car will STOP stalling but hovers around 450-500rpm's. Now... my thinking its the RPM's thats causing the car to stall, but I can't be for 100% certain. Is there anything else that can cause similar things? How to I adjust the RPM's as I've never messed with that portion before.
Any help is greatly appreciated
