2000 E-430 water spilled into shifter,
 

spilled watter onto shifter will not come out of park & does not show digtial read out of gears,

if anyone can answer as to any fix of this problem please post

You're not going to like the answer, but you're going to have to replace the shifter now.

You might as well take it apart and try to clean it, but John is most likely correct.

One of the many many many parts I had to get for my 2001 S500 was the shifter. It is easier to list the types of fluids that did not!! gum up the works.

Designing a cup holder directly above the $600+shifter box was not by anyone from marketing...was it?
