Dumb question about xenons
When I turn on my xenons there is a flash as they come on, is this normal? Or are they supposed to come on and stay the same intensity?

Well, mine don't flash. They come on and slowly brighten over about 15-20 seconds.
Sounds like some voltage issue or maybe a bulb is getting ready to fail.:eek: |
That's normal depending on the transformer.

You are seeing the result of the "ignitor" bringing your headlight to life.

This is why all cars with HIDs have halogen lights for flashers (I don't mean turn signals).

HIDs use ballast resistors, similar to flourescent lights...so the turn-on behavior is also similar.
