CLK 430 Reputation and Common Issues
 

Hello,
Well I've found a bunch of threads about the convertible top failing due to the hydraulic pump / motor or cables, what other things should I look for when looking for a CLK 430 Cabriolet? Are the W208s known as a rather trouble free model or is it plagued with issues?

See the sticky thread near the top of the Tech Help page, "W220/C215 instrument cluster recall". The recall addresses an issue that also plagues the W208 cluster, but that model is not included in the campaign.

Beyond that and your aforementioned top issues, mine has been stellar.
