Wink Clear SRS light on a 2003 e320 Wagon

I just picked up a 2003 e320 Wagon, which - of course - died on me on the way home. Lots of warning lights came on, beeps going off, etc. - then the car jumps into first and dies. Got it back to the dealer who diagnosed it as the alternator being faulty, so they replaced it.

The SRS warning light is still on, which I'm sure has to be from the alternator replacement (right?) so I want to get the code cleared. Can I do this myself, or do I need to take it to a shop to have them clear the code?

Thanks,
Craig

Nope, not under warranty...

I got her from a "Euro Import" dealer. They were happy to do the alternator as I had told them what the problem was (based on what the tech from the dealership told me about the voltage regulator), but they didn't have the tool.procedure for resetting the SRS light.

Mileage is at 71,500...so out of warranty anyway for a 2003.

You'll need SDS or similar quality scanner to view and reset that module.
