Brake fluid charging ???

Did anyone change the brake fluid on engine with SBC SYSTEM ??? (I have 06 E350) using the power bleeder ??? Do I have to open all four nipples (one at at time) and flush them all ??? Do I have to deactivate the SBC ???

the sbc should be deactivated to do anything on the brakes. i have 4 bottles and hoses to hang on the calipers. then, open all 4 starting at the rr. the lf will probably fill first. some people use a different color fluid each time they change it. that way you can tell when the old stuff is out. use blue now, then yellow next time, blue, etc. good luck, chuck.

use the search here and at www.mbca.org for directions on how to change the fluid on SBC

One bleeder at a time ( I don't have an SBC vehicle - but I see no other way to do it).

you siphon out the reservoir first.

be sure you know in which direction to loosen the bleeder, you don't want to snap it. left to loosen, right to tighten and it's relatively little pressure to tighten - not sure of the spec for your car.

I think it was posted here earlier you can either lock the car or disable the battery to prevent SBC from squeezing the piston.

I always use MB branded fluid from the dealer.
