I thought I knew all my UK terms: Boot, Bonnet, Dynamo, Energizer, Spanner, Circlip, Paraffin, Petrol, but what part is the Guard? Fender?
I searched on "C180 buzzing" and came up with 5 threads including this one: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/12647-reoccuring-noise-c-class.html?highlight=c180+buzzing Good luck! |
I'll guess too....gaurd....maybe equals bumper?
Which side is the exhaust on that car; maybe a bad rubber hanger? |
Sorry Guys, a guard ( short for mud guard ) in the old days they were attached to the vehicles wheel area to stop water & mud spraying onto your vehicle, now they are more or less built into the shape of your motorvehicle. you guys would call them Fenders.. regards baz

Well now that we have that important question answered...
It looks like the consensus from the other posts is it is the vacuum pump for the central locking system. Are you having any issues with that system? Maybe someone else has some ideas. |

Re the noise, car belongs to a friend ( buddy ) who lives out of town and i will have to wait until he comes back to the city to give him your suggestions. Thanks Barry.
