1990 MERCEDES 300SE input...

Hello all,

I came across an add for a 1990 300SE with 97k original miles and was wondering if anyone could provide me with some info on this model.

1990 Mercedes Benz 300SE (six-cylinder gas engine) NOT a gas guzzling V-8 - car overall is nice with some minor rust and scrape - OVERALL decent condition - this car was donated by a Doctor in upstate CT - the BEST thing is the low mileage with just 97k this car is good for another 150k-200k miles - this is the BIG BODY S-Class car - runs and drives great - fully fully loaded -

I'll be looking at it this comming week, and was wondering what I should look for on this particular model? Are there any recalls or major issues I should pay close attention to?

I am actually looking for one as well. Seems as if around 140K-160K these are "ready" for valve seals and sometimes new headgaskets, but other than that, pretty much bulletproof.

Coming from up north, I would check the undercarriage very good for rust.
