I have read that the likely problem for this is the OVrelay or the fuel pump relay, do you know where the fuel pump relay is located? the last four of the vin is998302 infor would be very much apprecatiated thanks

Do a search for 1989 300E fuel pump relay location. I just did that and got results.

It is located behind the battery, you have to remove the plastic cover to access the relay. Hope this helps you.
