code reader connection ?
Have a 95 sl320, bought a code reader since this car is OBD II compatible but the reader has a rectangular hook up and the car has a round plug. Is there an adapter for this plug, or is there another place to plug in. The round plug is under the hood, passenger side close to the windshield.

I think your 95 is OBD1 compliant. But, check under the drivers side left knee space in case I'm worng.

Take the code reader back. Your car is not OBD-II. That started in 1996.

Your car is OBDII compliant - several 1995s were. The plug should be under the steering wheel - by law it must be readily accessible from the driver's seat. You can also read other OBDI codes on the 38 pin connector in the engine compartment.

As deanyel said, it is OBDII compliant . . check this link: http://www.obdii.com/connector.html

I knew that it was because I had read through the forums and found that the 95 SL320 was OBD II compatable. Also found out that if you check under the hood you will find a sticker stating that it is. Thanks again, just hard finding the plug under the steering wheel. Will look again this afternoon.
