Edit for last post..

You have a chassis 124.066,[ Cab], so that fuse would be 'B" , not #5 as I stated for a standard E320.

There are several differences between the two models , so always mention CAB..[ or simply use the chassis 124.066].
I only caught it from one of your other post..

yes, it was out in a brief but hard rain. the carpets are not wet for the driver and passenger seats. i removed the kick plate on the passenger side and everything in there is dry.

Ok
Let me look at the location of the alarm module..might be soaked..

You can still start the car if you bring a jumper wire from the battery pos+ over to the X27 plug mentioned in some of the other post w/my name.
Just make sure gearshift is in P or N

i printed the info on the X27 plug test from your previous post. i may not get to try that until saturday. ?

everything under the passenger side kick plate is dry. maybe some water got into the door locks and shorted the alarm?

Maybe..
B nice just to get it started and inside somewhere with all the doors open and top down...
I think the ATA is under the passengers side rug , in the footwell, on that chassis..

i'm not sure which box it is. another poster pasted a photo of the layout of his passenger side well but it didn't match mine so i wasn't able to identify the ATA box.

if i cut the wires on the ATA, will it allow me to start the car?
i thought the ignition was integrated with the alarm.

No

The ATA is integrated to the k38 relay and if the alarm module is disabled , then you have to install a jumper at the k38 starter interlock relay..that is why I have you go to X27 to power the starter ..that is downstream from the k38, ign sw and NSS...

According to my Data, the ATA module is in the trunk, left side under a panel.......

someone suggested that the battery is near dead and that a jump start might cure the problem. ?

If the alarm is armed , then the starter will not activate.
But I mention the simple 10 second X27 jumper test for that exact reason.
If the X27 test starts the car, then you know the battery is not at fault, .......... that is one of the main reasons for the X27 test....so that eliminates a bad/low battery...see ????
Why do guys ask for assistance , but won't do the test...........
I can't comment on the next test or diagnose the problem until you do the TEST ...see?

The TEST have logic and sequence behind them....they are reasoned.

arthur, for you the x27 test is a piece of cake. to a novice like myself, it's like translating sanskrit.

i unhooked the battery and will reconnect it in 1/2 hour. this was something i could figure out.

i printed out the instructions and i will try to find the 3 wire plug you wrote about. i haven't ruled out the jumper wire. it's probably my only alternative if i want to get the car started.

do you happen to know where the ATA box is on my car? 94 e320 cab

and the starter relay/solidoid is easily identified? 3 wire plug.

thanks
