240d to 450 engine swap
Hi y'all,
I have a 78 Mercedes 450 SEL with no title and would like to put the engine and tranny in my 83 Mercedes 240d. Is this possible? Have any of you done it? |
I've seen V8's put into 123 body cars before, you'll probably either need to fabricate some stuff or possibly get parts off a different 123 to make it work.

I have actually taken a tape measure to the v8 and to a 123 and I think you will find interference with the exhaust manifolds and the shock towers. Perhaps you can find enough room if custom exhaust manifolds are used.

he has photos he can post of his 230CE with a 3.8 V8 in it. I had them once but dunno where they went. |
thanks for the advice. It sounds like this is possible, but maybe not as simple as I was hoping for.
