86 300e a/c problem
 

hi.. i have a question about my 86 mercedes 300e the a/c controls not working when i press the buttons i get a clicking sound comming from under the dash somewhere the a/c comes on and off. i check the relay under the hood it looks like its working fine are there something under the dash that controls the a/c please help me i need help thank you.

What exactly isn't working? Does the compressor come on? I have to presume that the blower doesn't come on. Run the diagnostic tests for the blower if it isn't on.

nothing is coming on the compressor nor the blower no power is going to neither one thats why im asking for help cheif.

Well the pushbutton controller does two most basic tasks. One is turning on the compressor relay and the other is commanding the blower controller. I'd pick one and see if it has any activity. The clicks you hear could be the other less conspicuous task of commanding the vacuum switchover valves. If it is doing that it isn't totally dead.
