Don't fool around with pressure washers kids

I was washing my car at the U do it carwash and sprayed too hard on my passenger side mirror. It cracked. I compared prices between the dealer and partsshop and then ordered it from the dealer. (The weak Canadian dollar plus shipping costs placed it higher than the dealer)

How do I replace the glass?
How do I take the passenger side mirror apart?
Please help

Thank you

Mike McKinney

Pressure washers can be really powerful.

I have drilled straight through concrete and blown wood apart with mine.

Sorry, I don't know how to replace the mirror, just sharing pressure-washer screw-up stories.

If it's like the W126 mirror, there is a triangle shaped blank plastic plate on the inside opposite the mirror. Carefully pop it out and remove 2 or 3 small screws, then disconnect the wiring, now the mirror is free and if you look inside there will be a circular spring clip about 2 1/2" in diameter. Get it to release and the glass part will come out.

PS.....just an idea, if you have a wrecking yard that lets you go in and retrieve your own parts, it makes for a really good dry run/experimental prooving grounds.
