Oil light coming on
My low oil light for the '87 W124 comes on when the oil level is between the max and min mark (about half a quart low). Is this normal? Or is the sensor being too sensitive and is there anything I can do about it? I was rather annoyed by it every time I go into a curve and the oil light comes on.

Sounds normal to me. Mine does the same. Just keep the oil level up.

Its fine, that is how it is designed to work.

It never happens to my W124 (87, 300D) even the oil level is low. I think the car has a time delay circuit to smooth out the signals from the oil level switch.
