Horn (or something ) beeping when brakes were applied
After installation of a new fuel pump relay and OVP relay, I took my 1986 190e for a test drive. about 10 miles down the road I applied the brakes and I heard a beep (my passenger said it was not the horn) also saw what looked like the left front headligt or turn signal flash. It did not happen again and I was wondering what is going on. I have been having intermittent stalling problems and now I am wondering if I might have more electrical wiring problems. The new relays seemed to cure the stalling. It runs and idles fine. I do not have an owners manual so I dont know if there are any sensors that would suggest possible brake problems. Im sure the brake pads need to be replaced. Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks

Gremlins in the alarm system? You might search the archives for instructions on unplugging the alarm computer--it could make the headlights flash, sound off a beep from the alarm horn, and has wiring to the brake lights. Best of luck, Andrew Seidel.
