Sportline suspension question...
Here's the problem.
I recently replaced the front springs on our 1994 E320 sportline since the passenger left was broken. Everything looks good and drive perfect Today I replaced the rear springs since the passenger side did not look to healthy (very rusty). The rear spring part # are 124 324 28 04. I placed them beside the old ones and it was a perfect match. After finishing up, the rear sits higher I took a look at the shocks and the part # is 124 326 02 98. The sportline shock for the rear is usually 124 320 23 31. Is it possible that the previous owner replaced the shocks with the standard item or were the old springs so shot that the car was riding just a bit too low? Do the new rear springs need some time to settle over a few miles? Anyone have an idea let me know. Thanks. Last edited by unesl; 10-25-2008 at 05:35 PM. |

Ran some errands... Looks like it's settling but I'm still wondering about those different part numbers for the rear shocks.

It was the rear spring pads. replaced with the one notch (8mm) instead of the the 18mm that was originally in place. My indie told me he finds quite a bit a variance between springs he gets from MB.
Anyway, stance is perfect! |
