Hard to find part - 1996 MBZ E320
 

Hello,
This is a great site, I havent had a chance to visit in awhile. I am hoping somebody can please help me find a hard to find part for a 1996 Mercedes E320. We need to replace what I think is called a "High Mounted Brake Light" or "High Mounted Tail Light". I cannot find thie light anywhere on the internet. Am I using the wrong name when searching for this part? If you know what part I am referring to and the correct name or where to find it please let me know, I would so appreciate it. Are you talking about the bulb or the fixture?

Likely a dealer only part, or salvage yard.

So some parts you can only get from the dealer? I think this part costs over $150, its a shame I cant get it anywhere else new. Do you know of any good online salvage yards?

You don't post your location. Is there a pick and pull near you? How about eBay?

You might find it helpful to search for "third brake lamp" or even "Dole lamp."

i have 99 E320 and use the lengthier design third/Dole light. here is one on Ebay
for the shorter unit. will this fit yours?
