I checked it, seems fine, but i dont get that code anymore, ust code 6, which is idle.....
but then doesnt make sense that when it turns off it doesnt turn back on, you have to wait like an hour for it to start again.
Very puzzling, if you try to start it right when it turns off, u can feel it almost wanting to start, then it starts backfiring.

I just took the car for a drive, and made sure i didnt slow down, and if i did I would put it in nuetral and kept the rpms up.
It didnt turn off once, but I did notice it started to backfire and hesitate every time i took off from nuetral to d, but it did get better, I left it on after the short trip and it stayed on, but when i give it gas in idle, it backfires at the low rpms then smooths out.

Instead of waiting for an hour, disconnect the battery, and see if it starts back up or not. (don't forget that you will need to reset the radio code).

Oh I tried that, still does the same thing, seems like it is starving for gas on idle and when u first give it gas, u feel it backfiring, or possibly it could be getting too much gas where its flooding in low idle, or possibly not getting enough air, or the car thinks its not getting enough air.
Hope i didnt complicate it.
I have read several posts from people with the similar problem, but none of them show a solution.

Question have you looked at the caps and rotors they may have gotten wet? causing your missfire condition they are usually corroded when you take them off and you will find carbon tracks shorting them out.

Where are those located? do you mean the coils?
Do you think its just a coinsidence it started doing that after they changed the radiator?
possibly they put the wrong coolant, or possibly messed up something?
Thanks

I will check them today, do you think that would cause the car to stall and not start for an hour, and to backfire?
thanks

i would like to add that when i started it this morning, the asr light came on, I had to turn it off andback on a couple of times so it could turn off, and Yesterday when I would play with the idle in the engine compartment, the asr light would come on also.

I do not think that old caps and rotors would prevent the car from restarting, if you were able to start it to begin with.
I think you have an electrical gremlin - which is not unheard of for this model year.

or possibly the vehicle is flooding while its on, possibly not getting enough air to combust, b/c it does backfire when it wants to turn off and when u try ot restart it.

You still need to read the fault codes.

I read the codes again including pin 19, and still nothing . do you think its possibly a clogged fuel filter, or a bad fuel pump relay?
b/c i think the car ran out of gas once prior to this, so it might have sucked up some dirt from the tank. or it could have something to do with changed the ran and fan.

The codes are not being read correctly, or your diagnostic system is not functioning properly, which is extremely rare. Code 6 on the pushbutton and no codes on pin 19 can't be right. ASR light with no codes on pin 7 can't be right.
