Parking Brake BEEP location

On my 1995 C280, I have 2 sounds... the regular "buckle your seatbelt" or "turn off your lights" BUZZ. And then there's the BEEP BEEP tone (like on later model Mercedes) if I drive with the emergency brake on.

Can someone PLEASE help me locate that beep (driving with e-brake on) on a 95 C-class? I can't locate the sound because I have to be driving (with brake on) for me to find it... I tried that once down a street... no good!!!

(Is it the same actual beep for the later model benz's when they omitted the buzzer?)

Thanks!

*HELD IN SUSPENSE*

I am going to disable the buzzer, I HATE that sound. And I let myself hate it... I could get over it... but I don't want to. Tomorrow I plan on going under the dash, removing the buzzer relay altogether, and also plugging my driver's side dash vent piping back together; it came undone again?

And if possible, I want to make my normal "buzzer sound" the beeping sound (driving with parking brake on), but won't if it's anything extensive in the least.

You must think I'm nuts! I guess that's why we have Mercedesshop, because I think you are nuts too! LOL, I am just playing around. :D

PLEASE, SPILL THE LOCATION!! Thanks again kiddo. ;)

GRRR, Thanks for nothing!!

No no no, I always have my door open with key in whenever I'm out doing WHATEVER I may be doing... and I can't stand the stupid buzzer! I don't care about when I first start the car....

David,

My advice, just tape the pin switch for the door down when you are doign what you are doing, or just wire the buzzer up to a toggle switch. Then you can disengage it at will. :) hehe

how about checking a local electronics store for some other buzzers you can use... hehe

I have already considered a toggle switch... and I will usually put a pen in place to hold the pin in. But I have tried closing my door a few too many times with the pen in place, because that's is partly broken. I am just going to remove the buzzer all together! No big deal...

But if someone DOES know where the beep comes from....?
