pls help me id this connector (1975 450SL)

Hello

Was wondering if someone in this forum could tell me what this connector is for in my 1975 450SL. I took the picture while standing in front of the car looking at the engine compartment.

At the top of the picture is the brake master cylinder, the plug in question is the white one with three prongs in the lower middle of the picture. I see no matching connector anywhere near it.

thanks in advance.

That doesn't look like a factory connector. My guess is that it's part of an alarm system that was removed.
