1993 or 1994 300E mercedes Idle surge

After the car is warmed up I presume, the car idle surges.

When trying to drive the car, step on the gas pedal, it doesnt go anywhere. Doesnt rev up, just doesnt go anywhere. Eventually the car will start to move after I lift foot off gas pedal and then click back on. Mabey its the pedal position mabey if I give it barely any throttle she will go....

As everyone has told you, get the codes.

E320 16 PIN DTC Charts inc. pin 8, pin 14

And the car is not a '94 b/c that would be the E320.

If you don't have a title give us the VIN off the bottom of the windshield, by the windshield wiper. Starts with WDBEA.....

I don't know if I can get an answer. This is my first time in your forum. I don't if the problem i have will be solve by air mass sensor. The idle of the car is fluctuateting and it will run but no power as if it is choke. Is there any thing help I can get.

Thanks
Eugene

If you don't get the codes, you'll just be throwing parts at the problem...and parts are not cheap!

But if you want to go ahead and do it anyway, I would suggest looking at the cheapest solutions...spark plugs, spark plug wires (possible issue with no rev/throttle), and replace old vacuum hoses (typical culprit of the idle surges).
