84 190e transmission selector shaft bushing

Hi all,
I have a 1984 190e that appears to be leaking fluid from the gear selector area. Can I change this with the trans in the car?
Do I just pry off the bracket that connects the shaft to the shift linkage?
It seems like its very tight. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Shaft Leak

I would consult a transmission shop on that shaft seal. I never seen one leak from that spot. Are you sure its leaking from there? Also is it Automatic or manual?

Thanks BenzTec. After a better cleaning, more driving and further inspection it looks like its coming from the pan gasket. And it is an automatic. Thanks again.
