190E - Swaping Standard for Euro Lights

Hi All,

Just picked up a pair of Bosch Euro headlights for my 1992 190E 2.6. Looked under the hood and it doesn't look like a simple swap. Can anyone tell me if there is special installation required? The connectors don't even seem to match and I guess that makes sense since they are Euro headlights. If I can get some tips for installation that would be great.

Thanks,
-D

Doing a search will reveal all. It is a bolt to bolt, screw to screw swap, except for the wiring connector. You will need to get the 6 pin connector block, which is the same part as the wiring connector for the tail lights.

qty (2) - 006 545 80 28 - six-pin electrical connector, socket
qty (2) - 009 545 30 28 - six-pin electrical connector, cover

To wire the City Lights to the front driving lights:
Low wattage soldering iron & solder
Wire stripper and cutter
Approx. 24 inches of 12-16 gauge stranded automotive wire
qty (2) - 003 545 26 26 - pin, connector
qty (2) snap type wire splices

Connect the city light pigtail to the parking light feed wire on the turn signal lens socket.

Sorry, I know this is old, but I picked them up on ebay for $200. Swap was done and they look great.
