124 blower regulator

hey folks, has anyone ever had sucess in finding a supplier for the solid state component of the heater/ac blower(part that is attached to the aluminum heat sink underneath the blower motor),seems such a waste of resources to be stuck with having to replace a defective one with a complete assy, heat sink dont go bad and the wiring harness is made like a tank.
i took one out of a 1989 300te and actuall found some numbers on the black box part,b533401.1 eay - 3 2890 30057
can anyone shed any light to the subject

I have an aftermarket one on the shelf, I'll look to see if the components are visible.

If the "black box part" you're talking about is an IC, it can be looked up, I used to use a book series called the "I.C. Master" which had most semi-conductors and crossed manufacturer part numbers over to standard industry numbers.

i had looked many times for a part number, never found till last week on a 1989 300te,tried internet and local masters supply,no luck with the try.
i been searching the net today for darlington units that might match,we need for some of the electronic folka to step in here and solve the problem,am trying to solve this one because of the waste.
also there has to be a resulting error from maintenance, got a theory that the thermo conductor paste use for transfering the heat from the collector metal plate to heat sink could be drying out and causing the solid state output to over heat and open up.
the fan brushes have to wear out but the solid state power output should last.
come on folks

save the planet,recycle(blower regulators)

ok ,it looks promising,i have a test unit running and now need your old broken down blower regulator assy, the ones that respond will have first dibbs(discounted of course) on a assy that should last forever.
also included will be a winter/summer selectable speed control, not exactually like your home furnace, leave it on summer side or switch for seasons-manually. my personal setting will be winter for both seasons as the blower will last longer.
