420SEL fuel line
It looks like the fuel lines that go to the fuel cooler are leaking a wee bit. I can smell gas when im driving and when its sitting in my garage. This looks like an PITA. HAs anyone replaced these lines?

Not sure what you mean by "fuel cooler", but I've done a fair amt. of fuel system renovation at the rear of a '91 300-SEL.
The biggest issue in my opinion is access. Back the car up on a good set of ramps for better access. Also - for fuel line work I would recommend investing in a set of metric flare nut wrenches. Sears is one place that carries them.

OK - you are at the other end of the car - under the hood.
Flare nut wrenches will help and I would depressurize the system before disconnecting the fuel lines. Many cars have a fuel pump relay fuse or fuel pump fuse that can be removed. Once removed, you start the car and let it run until it dies. Others more familiar with a 420SEL motor will be able to give you precise fuel line depressurizing instructions. Fuel injected cars have much higher fuel line pressure than carb-equipped models.

Are you sure your fuel lines are leaking,, you actually see fuel dripping out of the lines or you assuming cause you smell gas. .leaking fuel lines cause engine running problems
the pressure is about 80 lbs.. does your engine run badly ? now if based on smelling gas might check the eha valve the little O rings break and will leak gas under the eha valve might check it..if its leaking you will smell gas under the hood.. if the lines are leaking you can release the pressure at the fuel distributor loosen the nut that holds the cold start valve fuel line with a rag underneath it lets the fuel drain into the rag... then remove the fuel lines to the fuel distributor along with pressure regulator.. hope this helps Bob
