Springs
Does anyone know of a brand & part # for front and rear springs that will lower (1-2") a 83 Mercedes 300sd? The front & rear seem alittle higher than stock. BTW there are 14 tires on it.Thankyou

If your shocks are more worn in back than front that will allow it to settle in. If your shocks are worn I would put on some new bilsteins and see what that looks like first.
Chasing ride height issues is tricky. As an example, Brian Carlteon spent a lot of money and effort trying to get his car just right including all sorts of bushings and finally bought custom springs and I am not sure ever got it just how he wanted it and he is a very accomplished person mechanically. It was initially too low and in the end was a bit too high. I've had about thirty benzes through the years and have had only one spring that was weak, in a 115. I put an inexpensive spacer in to level it and drove on. Other than that I have never replaced a spring and have never replaced the diff mounts and most of my benzes have been fairly high mileage older ones. I have had some cars that were higher in back, some higher in front, and really I have never been able to tell from handling and ride any significant difference in performance.
