Mercedes S rear seat belts locked up
 

I have a 2003 mercedes s500 4matic, both rear seatbelts locked up in retracheted position. tesioner will not release so i can pull them out to use them. they are very tight and wil not move at all. is there a way to release the tensioner without taking everything apart

iyads, was your S500 involved in a collision? If so, once the seat belts lock the mechanisms need replacement.

thats true, once this happens they will need to be replaced. hit any hard bumps or somehing that would have caused them to tension?
