Electric Windows
 

Good Evening,

The rear electric windows on my 1986 190E 2.0L are not working. I don't think its a problem with the motors as niether work, and I can't identify any power to the switches (rear doors & front console). It could be the relay? I only have 2 relays in the fuse box - R1 & R4. Is there a relay missing? Any suggestions on what the problem might be and how many relays should be there would be much appreciated.

Usually the wires inside the doors break.

I have this problem both the rear windows are dead, but the switches/fuses are fine. How difficult (much hard work) is it to re-wire rear windows?

Is there a child lockout switch on the car?

Yes there is but that was checked. An local auto electrician had the car today and he observed
some frayed wiring (sadly the chap that did the investigation was out when I called to collect the car).
