Rear Floor Vents

For the rear seats on my 1995 C-class, how do I remove the heating vents/ducts that emerge from below??

Thanks. I have tried pulling and I was able to get one side of one of them loose.... but I'm sure there's a correct way to do this.
Thanks.

on the '94 E Class Coupe- there appears to be a phillips screw securing the black plastic rear passenger bottom heating vents to the floor board...

you may wish to move the seat in the highest and most forward position and see what's securing yours....it usually very straight forward

good luck

I think there are some sort of glue to hold it in place. I yank the whole carpet off my 91 300D the other day and they never came apart. I didn't see anything that hold them together...

On both the MB that I have owned ('75 and '89), the rear floor vents were attached to the floorboards via a couple of phillips heads screws. I believe that I had to have the seats removed in both cases.

Michael, I think I remember it has a grove at the bottom facing the back seat which catches the carpet opening edge on the floor. It looks like the top part which has one but facing the front of the car. Somehow you need to get the carpet opening edge out of that grove on top and push it in. free the bottom opening edge and pull it out.

The rear part of the ventilation duct has a moulding in the bottom that holds on to the upwards pointing metal sheed of the seat/chassis-beam-opening (dunno the word) it goes through.
The best way to take it out is yto remove the front hallf of the carpet (easier on the passenger's side as on the driver's side), unscrew the Phillips screw that holds the front part of the ventilation duct, remove the front part of the ventilation duct and push back the rear half while pushing the bottom half up.
I don't know for sure but it might be very well possible that there is a Phillips screw that holds the rear half to the front half of the ventilation ducts.

greetingz,
