Oil question

I have a 2002 clk 320, and I just opened the oil cap and there is some goopy looking yellow stuff on the cap. Can anyone tell me what it is, and what would cause it?

It is water, condensed from vapor in the crankcase. Short trips will cause this.

Here's a pic I just took. Is this anything I should be worried about?

Clean it off as much as you can, but yeah, its from condensation. I see this on at least one car per day.

The engine operates better using motor oil, not peanut butter.

I had that on my 76 volvo with the v6 renault engine. I found the crankcase breather tube was clogged.

I use synthetic Peanut oil, only the best for my Benz.

Right, cars just aren't made for short trips. If you have only a short ways you must go the long way and then circle around a few times. Getting lost for a while is good idea too. This is an absolute must. The only other alternative is to get an older car that isn't a piece of crap.
