While you are in at the Mercedes Benz dealer Service Department for a thorough wallet flushing, suggest to the SA that maybe the brushes and contact rings for the SRS inside the steering wheel be looked at and replaced as necessary....

Doesn't a 2003...
...airbag system still have warranty coverage?

Go to a qualified independent and have him read the fault codes with his SDS
Of course the surest way to know he is qualified is whether he has a SDS. Use no one else. Anyone who doesn't have a SDS is not a MB specialist.

correct way to reinstall the airbag
Can anyone remind me of the correct method to reinstall the air bag in a W201 190E car. I know that the wrong way will sometimes cause the SRS light to flicker and come on, the right way will keep this from occuring. It has somethig to do with the reinstallation method and the way you tighten the mounting screws.
